MySQL - DB on EBS - need to increase perfomance

I have a M2.XLarge AWS Instance running apart from other things a MySQL server. The DB sits on an EBS GP2 volume of 64Gb, current IOPS are 192/3000

The database is very busy and i would like to try and increase performance.

I'm by no means a DBA so when i set this up i just went for all std settings, have read a little it looks like i should swap over to Provisioned IOPS SSD volume. IOPS is really just a buzz word to me.. but i kind of know its important and not have great IOPS will effect performance.... i think :-)

Before i just jump into it i wondered if anyone has any suggestions on what i should actually do, having looked at setting up some provisioned IOPS storage one questions was what IOPS setting do i need ???? I'm not even sure what to look at to see if i do need to move.. all i know is performance isn't great and I'm looking at ways to improve it.

If anyone can help i woudl appreciate some guidance.

Thanks
