I have created a SSAS project where I access my MySQL database.
This worked for me, I was able to create views from my datasource and then dimensions and Cubes. Since I uninstalled mysql for visual studio and installed again (never thought all the problems it would cause) I can't create views anymore (my data source tables don't appear in the new view wizard...)
My connection parameters are ok: sqlservermode = true, etc, etc and as I said before I can create a new data source (actually is the only I can do right now in my ssas project)
I have tried almost everything:
- Installed last versions of mysql for visual studio and mysql connector/net.
- Deleted from registry all keys, values and data using MySQL Connector Net keyword.
- Unistalled mysql connector and mysql for visual studio using revo uninstaller.
- Copied the assembly files from
C:Program Files (x86)MySQLMySQL Connector Net 6.9.8Assembliesv4.5 to C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0Common7IDE - Removed the ASP.NET WEB providers option or the net/Connector installer.
- Installed older versions of Visual Studio.
I also want to mention an issue that might give someone a clue about what's happening here: everytime I reinstall mysql for visual studio a folder D:VSPath2015Common7IDE..: is created, even when I have specified the InstallDir to C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0Common7IDE in HKLMSOFTWAREWOW6432NodeMicrosoftVisualStudio14.0.
Anyone can help me? Thanks in advance.
PS. I'm using win10 64bits and VS2015.
